Welcome or welcome back, we've missed you! No matter if you are a new or returning student, you're a student and we are thrilled that you're here! Coming to school for the first time or going back to school after a long time can be an intimidating experience. If that's the way you feel, have no fear, we are all in it together. At Quinsigamond Community College, we take great pride in our small class sizes, personal attention and faculty and staff who are always willing to do whatever is needed. We want nothing more than to make sure our students have the best and most welcoming experience possible.
We know there's more to college than class. Your life outside of class plays a big part in your classroom, college, campus and study experience. Between your work, your kids, your parents, your mode of transportation and everything else you have going on, we hope to make it a little bit easier. In order to do so, we have put together as much information as we can all in one place.
Still need books or supplies? Here's what you can expect from the QCC Bookstore this week with extended hours:

Students experiencing food insecurity should know there is a food pantry available on campus for students, faculty and staff. The Food Pantry and Resource Center is located in Room B63A, in the basement of the Administration Building. All information is confidential, but we ask that you fill out a form to become an official client. Learn more by clicking here or stop in to talk with Charles (Food Pantry Manager).
If you're more concerned about finding your way around than grabbing a snack, we've got you covered there too. Click here to check out maps for all campuses.
QCC welcomes new coaches, teams and intramural leagues. Ladies interested in playing basketball can join the newly formed basketball team. What's better than that? The head coach, Andy Kupec, played for the Boston Celtics! Learn more about basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, flag football, yoga, full body toning and free gym memberships for students here.
So now that you have your student ID, a snack and you know your way around... maybe it's time to join a club? Or go to the movies? Did you know that QCC students can buy discounted movie tickets to Showcase Cinema? That's right... you can check out the new attractions and save money... because you're a Wyvern! Students may purchase up to 4 movie tickets at the Fuller Student Center.
While you're there, ask about the clubs on campus. There's a student newspaper, a music club, Veterans club, pride alliance, Black Student Union, Student Government and more. See the full list here. Or visit the Student Club Fair, September 18 and 19, outside on the quad. If we had you at 'saving money', then take a peek at the list of places where your QCC ID will get you student discounts.
If you would like to take the bus somewhere other than school, there's some fun student bus trips coming up. Go to NYC to see the Rockettes, Boston for a Red Sox game or head south to Foxwoods Resort and Casino. All of these events are listed on the college's official Facebook page.
News, Alerts, Closings & More
Download the QCC app for access to grades, bus schedules, closings and more. When you have the QCC app, you will get college alerts and notifications right to your phone. We know it's still warm out, but admit it... you want to be the first to know about SNOW DAYS! Seriously though, you can also access the mobile version of the Q as well as your Qmail. So... you ready? You can find the QCC app in the App Store or on Google Play by searching QCC App. It's that simple.
OK, now that you're here and you've got at least one class under your belt... you may be wondering when your first 3 day weekend will come around? Or maybe you're already thinking about the holiday break... No worries, the academic calendar has all of the important dates for holidays, breaks, intersession, finals and more.
Is That All?
No way, there's so much more. QCC students have access to tutoring centers, the Fab Lab, the Student Success Center and a host of other resources. See what else is going on and get the student ID schedule for this week here.
Let's have a great year and get smarter... together!
