2021 Alumni Board Election Results

Aug 3, 2021 1:27:02 PM / by Quinsig Wyvern

Today, we have more than 34,000 alumni that can be found in virtually every industry in our region and across the United States. They come from diverse backgrounds, they span generations and their career goals vary, but what they all have in common is the drive to succeed. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments and love to see where life is taking them.

Every two years, we hold an election for our Alumni Board. The Alumni Board is a valuable resource that works to promote alumni involvement in Central Mass and brings them together to network, enjoy events, and stay engaged with each other and the QCC community. The 2021 election is officially in the books and we would like to thank all of you who participated in the elections and took the time to cast a vote! The votes are in and 3 highly qualified candidates have officially earned their seats.

It's time to congratulate the candidates... drum-roll please...

Nephtalie Faustin

Class of 2015, Liberal Arts

About Nephtalie:
I am originally from Haiti and I speak 4 languages. During my time at QCC I was a member of the Commonwealth Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Psi Beta Kappa Honor Societies. I finished my associate degree in Liberal Arts in May 2015 and transferred to UMass Amherst, graduating with a BS in Psychology (Neuroscience Track). I have volunteered at UMass Memorial Hospital, helped veterans during Thanksgiving week, and worked with people with disabilities (Autism).

Vice President - Amy Tisdell

Class of 2013, Liberal Arts

About Amy:

I will work with the incoming president and advisory board to expand professional networking opportunities for alumni and current students of QCC. I will also bring an increased focus on philanthropy and using our collective power to support students in need at QCC.

Secretary - Michael Harper

Class of 2010, Liberal Arts

I’ve been a passionate proponent of community colleges ever since graduating from QCC in 2010. After graduation I was able to continue to partner with QCC in my roles at WPI and Clark University, and was named a QCC Guardian, which is a great honor. Career changes over the years have reduced my opportunities to engage and support QCC, and I’m hoping this role will reignite my engagement and allow me the privilege of supporting the students, administration, and alumni of the college.

If you're a QCC grad, stay connected and join the Alumni Association monthly board meetings. For information, please email us at alumni@qcc.mass.edu.
